Have you seen summer?

Whoops! It's been a little more than a week since my last post...oh well. So far it's been an extremely busy summer. Wait, did I say, "summer"? I haven't seen summer yet, have you? It hasn't even been hot enough to make a cold beer taste good. Today it rained...all day. We went to the Garden of the God's and just drove through. Wasn't even worth stopping to take pictures because it was so wet. I guess you could say that we drove all the way to Colorado Springs just to eat at a Soup or Salad. Oh well...least we got out of the house today. Like I said we've been so busy as of late. Our little one, Mathew, now almost 14 months has always got us on the go. The kid has more energy than that stupid bunny that keeps on going. The other day my car died, so I plugged the cables onto the battery, and then put one on his ankle and the other on his arm and....oh that's not funny! Anyways, some weekends I just don't feel like writing because I'm so tired or just not in the mood. Since the semester is almost through and I really would like to get as much credit as possible for this blog, here I am! My mother-in-law will be out to visit from Ecuador in a couple of weeks and I have so many unfinished projects to complete before her visit. I could write a list here but that really wouldn't fit what I'm trying to project. Good news is I'm about to finish a major project that has had me tied up for three weekends in a row!! Once I'm finished I can tackle some other things and then hopefully begin to actually enjoy my weekends. Well...it's late Sunday and I do not like doing homework (yes, this is homework) on weekends. I always do my schoolwork during the week and never bring it home, except the fact that this blog site is blocked from my computer at work, therefore I am unable to log on during the week and commence blogging!! Adios, y hasta la semana pasada! I think that means goodbye and see ya next week!

Summer quickly approaching...

Well, Memorial Day weekend seems like a distant memory and Independance Day has come and gone, mid-ninety degree temps in the forecast; I would say that summer has settled in. I didn't get to smell like blackpowder this year, but, all in all I would say that it was a great weekend. Little Mathew saw his first fireworks show, I avoided all yardwork, and I was able to return to work with all ten fingers. Phew! Scanning the news first thing Monday morning and holy cr-p batman they did it again!! It seems that every Friday somebody is doing something in order to bury some news worthy story for the weekend. Like the week before, the LARGEST TAX INCREASE in US HISTORY rushed through the House on a Friday afternoon and NOBODY's talking about it. It's only Michael this, JACKO that. Can you believe he was only 112lbs? He had needle marks all over...yadi, yada, yada.....blah. Cap and Trade rushed through!! Hello? Anyone out there? Two weeks later (almost) and it's still all about Jacko the Wacko (don't get me wrong, it's sad and he was a great talent, but...). Now Palin's out. Quit. Sayonera (I'm sure that is spelled wrong...oh well...after 10pm on a Monday who's paying attention). Think of it this way, if you jumbled up the news stories in the past couple of weeks it could look something like this: Military Coup Takes Over King of Pop, Dictator Jacko Seeks Refuge in Alaska. Rev. Sharpton Complains - Taxed for Expelling Too Much Carbon, Files Bankruptcy. It's too late to be thinking of these things... Have a great week!
